Editor Extensions
Unity Editor extensions and supporting tools for production teams.
Challenge
A LiveOps project with regular updates needed faster content preparation and integration while reducing manual work for production teams.
My responsibility
I developed Unity Editor extensions and custom Bash and Python tools for VFX artists, game designers, and game developers.
Implementation
The tools targeted practical team workflows: data preparation, game-entity handling, and asset representation. They were built into the existing production process; internal code and configuration formats are not disclosed.
Debugging visual battle events
I developed Visual Battle Tree for the Unity Editor. It presented the sequence and nesting of visual battle events as a tree, enabling a developer to trace a path from an input event to a particular effect or state change quickly.
This simplified investigation of complex battle-visualisation issues: instead of manually matching logs to code, a developer could expand the event chain step by step, inspect the effects that had been applied, and isolate the problematic part. The tool also improved VFX-event configuration by making it possible to see an event’s place in the overall battle-scenario sequence.

Visual Battle Tree: a hierarchical view of visual events and effects in a battle scenario.
Result
The teams gained a faster, more convenient workflow for preparing content and visual materials. In particular, investigating visualisation issues and configuring VFX events became clearer and more predictable.
